Harrison's Starfleet Uniform

intrinsical

Commodore

I'm just curious what do you guys make of Harrison's uniform, best seen when he is in the brig? Its clearly a starfleet uniform given the trek delta on the left breast, but not gold, red or blue so he's not from command, engineering or science/medical.

Is it a dress uniform? Or is it from some unknown starfleet department?

It's the same one worn by Kirk in the last movie.

I think they wear a general black jumpsuit then wear their colour over the top. Kirk wore black in the previous film, presumably it was underneath his red dress uniform.

I'm weirdly curous as to what department colour he'd wear over the black shirt. Maybe he's God of Redshirts, revenging for all his fallen comrades.

The black shirt worn by Kirk and Harrison is not the undershirt worn under the gold, blue and red shirts.
They wear a charcoal shirt under these, I believe the black shirt is worn under the dress uniforms.
I own all the 2009 movie costume cards which includes Kirk's black shirt and Pike's charcoal undershirt, they are different colours and weave.

Did he end up dying, or not?

He must have been super intelligent, after all. Not only did he postpone his inevitable death for years, he also managed to get his hands on a lot of peroxide during his years of exile on a godforsaken desert planet. Got to admire the survival skills, there....

...but in the end, he still kicked the bucket. Same's going to happen to Cumby. I can feel it. :(

If Harrison doesn't die, that would be a surprise!
Where is the escape pod when you need it?

He should be saved by the powers of his awesome black coat! I am hopeful, though...what with the popularity of Sherlock and the "evil Brit" trope (thanks to the ever wonderful Tom Hiddleston, I suppose), he may even survive this.

The good news is, I can stop my bitching about TPTB making English actors fake American accents. :p
