Harrison Ford on Daily Show

Yeah, I get the sense that he genuinely doesn't like Stewart. Is Ford a Republican?

Edit: He apparently gave a lot of money to Obama's primary campaign (though, none to Kerry in '04).

Harrison Ford is a pretty staunch Democrat and I doubt he has any problems with Stewart, if the did it's unlikely he'd go on the show int he first place. The man, however, is a 70 year old man so he's likely just gruff and uncomfortable on camera in these types of appearances. I can't really recall any interview where he came across very warm and friendly but it may just be his "interview persona."

He's a tremendous actor to be sure but his public appearances like this don't serve him well.

I heard Jon Stewart wouldn't get off his lawn.

I think his hair loss might be affecting his hairdo, I have started to lose a little bit in the front and it does make it harder to get your hair to do what you want and it looked like he was getting quite patchy.

I didn't see TDS but he was interviewed for UK Breakfast tv this morning and seemed fine, if professional, rather than personable. I wish he'd lose that ridiculous ear-ring though.

Ironic that his movie Daybreak, about a fictitious breakfast tv show is failing at the box office - the new-ish UK breakfast tv show which is called Daybreak (this isn't the one he appeared on today) is also failing spectacularly in the ratings!

Ford has never really been good at interviews, so none of this is new.

Ford always seemed like a real down to earth guy to me. He's a volunteer helicopter search and rescue pilot and worked as a carpenter early in his career. He's often said that he views his work as a craft instead of an art.

He's not thick, he just feels awkward in an interview setting.

Or he's just stoned out of his mind

Morning Glory only released yesterday (in the U.S.), and is, IIRC, expected to do decently well. The failing Daybreak is actually the movie's fictional morning show. :)

^ Oooooooh! Gotcha.

I must admit, from the clips they showed, the movie looked pretty good and Ford seemed to be quite adept at the light comedy - which he hasn't been since probably The Last Crusade, IMHO.

feel free to mark the reply as spoilers, but I have some questions about the fictional Daybreak.

Is this a new breakfast show recently on air, which has flopped, or something that is has been on air a while, and is just rubbish, just for someone (possibly thats its cheap) IBS (the network) has kept it on air?

Also what kind of channel is IBS?
