^Geez, I'm old, I watched that when it was on originally! Anyway, Ellison's snarkiness is evident, and his attitude of "I'm right, I know best, everyone else is stupid and wrong" still comes through. And the whole "COTEOF" dust up also is an example of that. And his version of the TMP story here differs from what he related to King, as far as Roddenberry's reaction. All right, last word - I would pay to read Ellison's grocery lists. I wouldn't spend an hour with him if you paid me.
How is GR's reaction materially different? In both tellings, GR is as baffled as HE. You may have a case for thinking the guy is smug and arrogant (and I agree, he is) but you have only the word of a proven self-serving liar (GR, may the Q continuum rest his soul) and probable self-serving liars (studio execs) to support a case that he is lying.
