If STXI's timeline reset has really ruined The Original Series and movies for you, you're watching it wrong.

Just the opposite with me. I now cherish all the "old" stuff, both TOS and TNG even more now. 2009 is nothing but drivel.

For the billionth time: Trek XI is in a different timeline. The old timeline is still there. It is okay. It will never "vanish."

You can ignore the new timeline and watch your DVDs till they wear out if that's what floats your boat. Personally, I'm looking forward to more adventures from Chris Pine and Zachary Quinto.
