Happy 45th Anniversary, Star Trek!

Since today is our big anniversary, I thought it would be only fitting to create a special thread for it, where we can express what we feel on this day.

For me, Star Trek is a cherished part of my life and I can only be grateful to the people who had the vision to imagine it and the resilience to make it happen. I think it's an enormous gain for the world that Star Trek exists and I'm glad to be able to be part of this wonderful phenomenon.

Happy anniversary, Star Trek, and thank you for everything!

I may not watch more than an episode or two per year, but no matter how much I've outgrown however many parts of the mythos, its huge influence on me as a youngster means that it'll remain a big part of me every day of my life. And, who knows - as a Future Sailor, I may some day serve on the Enterprise!
