Halloween 2014 - Costumes Ideas, Events, etc.

Since Halloween falls on a Friday this year, there are bound to be lots of festivities than normal. My family and I usually dress up and go clubbing, and we've also gone to the local USS Hornet Museum to check out the scene at the Monster Ball. At work, our engineering department hosts an annual Halloween potluck, and we always have a blast.

I originally planned on dressing up as a Catholic cardinal this year, but I can't find any good-quality costumes. The one I ordered on-line was crappy that I had to send it back. I guess I'll be donning my old CSI jumpsuit.

Has anyone got plans for Halloween/Samhain/Dia de los Muertos this year? What say you?

There's supposed to be a History of Video games exhibit at the local museum and they're having a Halloween Party... might try to go to it...

I'm going to dress my dog up like a reindeer and park my buns on the couch with a beer and give out large amounts of candies to all the ghouls and goblins who come begging for goodies at my door.

Doing a wine tour the weekend prior - will pass out candy the 31st.

I'm not planning to go anywhere specifically Halloween-ish, just out to dinner with a friend, so my costume will be low-keyed -- a vintage long black velvet evening coat and a wand. No hat.

I want to dress up as Martin Luther with his 95 theses to see who are the history majors or Lutherans who get the reference concerning him and Oct 31st

I will have to roll my eyes at anybody when told who I was dressed as says something about not being black.

Our neighborhood is besieged by trick-or-treaters every year, so I'll hand out candy until it's all gone, and then we'll also have friends around for food and card games. I'll probably wear my Tardis T-shirt as a costume.

Damn :(. Just looked through costumes, and for the first time in forever, couldn't find a single one I liked in the price range I was looking in.

Yeah, been thinking of who to cosplay on Halloween. (if only I had a TOS uniform )

Umm let's see, I could be Bilbo Baggins from The Hobbit (I've put together a full costume), or maybe Hatsune Miku again. Huh.

Wow. I just checked with a local printing & engraving shop to have the letters "CSI" imprinted on the back of my jumpsuit. $30?!? But that's OK. I've spent more on costumes over the years. :)

No plans this year, going to be in Japan, so I'll be full time in the pat of gaijin in Japan.. Seriously thinking about Swedish Chef for next year though.

This Halloween in my 30th birthday. So I'm going on a pub crawl in Savannah, GA where there will also be a pirate ship, while dressed as the 11th Doctor. Drunken shenanigans and possible ghost pirate/pirate ghost mysteries will likely occur.

Putting together a new Avengers Assembled for Halloween this year. Got a new arc reactor & Thor helmet already. And my new Winter Soldier shield is on order.

My oldeset nephew is goin' to be the Justice League.

And my younger nephew hasn't decided yet.
