People tend to default to names like Hanna-Barbara and Matt Groening when asked to identify animators who have truly shaped TV. But Art Clokey deserves credit for not only Gumby but also Davey and Goliath (without which Adult Swim would never have created the devastating Morel Orel a few years back).
