It's been ages since I read it, but wasn't she a big part of Stargazer: Oblivion?

Sorry, it's been so long that I can't really speak to the book's quality, or anything about its storyline.

Back in the day there were rumors that Guinan would turn up on ENT as a United Earth government official. I'd have liked to see that. A future novel, maybe?

Back in the day there were rumors that Guinan would turn up on ENT as a United Earth government official.

Also on DS9, where her son was said to be incarcerated. (Mentioned in the DS9 Writers' Guide.)

That script eventually morphed into "Rivals", the one with the El-Aurian, Martus Mazur. (IIRC, Guinan wasn't specified as an El-Aurian herself until a trivia screen in the promo videotape giveaway for "Generations". Prior to then, she was only ever a "Listener".)
