Guinan on Season 3?

Whoopi Goldberg is not, with great respect to Whoopi Goldberg, ageless in the way that El Aurians such as Guinan are. The actor has visibly aged more between 1994 and 2020 than Guinan did between 1893 and 2369.

But El Aurians don't live forever. They must age at some rate, albeit slowly by human standards.

Maybe Whoopi Goldberg has (gracefully) aged just the right amount that her appearance makes sense as Guinan in the 32nd century?

Guinan will be part of picard season 2 so they'll either ignore it and go with it or use de-aging effects. Personally i'd be fine with it being ignored all together.

Would be great seeing her there, but I suspect she wouldn’t be particularly interested in doing a series with zero involvement by Patrick. I might be wrong, of course, it’s pire speculation.

I hope they ignore it. It's kind of similar to how Spock ages like a normal human in all the TOS movies, but doesn't age at all between Undiscovered Country and TNG Reunification. Aliens simply age at odd rates (generally correlating to when the filming took place.) :)

Did I miss a rumor? Is there any chatter about her being on Discovery?

From what I know she'll be on Picard next season. Unless there's some crossover event I don't know how she would end up on Discovery. I wouldn't rule out seeing El-Aurians though... personally never thought we'd see Trill on Disco but here we are.

I think it would be a stretch to say Guinan was still alive in season 3 of Discovery even with her old age. Unless you did what I always thought was a good idea and say the her race is basically the Q before they had fully evolved into omnipotent beings. I always liked the idea in my head canon explaining her past with Q.

They already, if some rumours are to be believed, bringing back Dax (and featuring Nicole de Boer in a flashback) and I think carrying 2 characters across a whopping 900 years is a bit much.

Too weird. But I guess I can see them showing Ezri Dax if she's in a montage of "Here's what happened over the last 930 years!"

Guinan will be fine on Picard, and they don't have to ignore Whoopi's aging: El Aurians just age very slowly but have an accelerated burst of aging toward the end of life. Like Dick Clark. Or, apparently, Ralph Macchio.

It was just an idea that came up on this forum, I think, I don’t remember seeing anything than fan speculation such as “they have a Trill, FOR SURE it will be Dax”.

And where did you read or hear this nugget?

Provide the article or you're just spouting sharticles
It's Facebook rumour territory but whether we see Nichole de Boer or not (someone said she was spotted in Toronto around the time of filming S3) I'm pretty confident we'll meet Dax.

Nicole de boer lives in Toronto so it's not surprising she would be seen there. Personally i think dax is on the cards as well, or they may throw a curveball and make it the kahn symbiont

I could see them going with Odan as well. It would allow them to explore maybe even the idea that not all Trill symbiont's are alike because the host seemed completely erased under Odan.
