Unless you think the "closeup of Jack's eye" is going to last for five minutes. Hmm...

Wait, I got it. The camera zooms into Jack's eye!

Maybe the opening scene of the season six premiere will be the opening scene of the pilot!

A plane lands at LAX, and Jack gets off the plane....leading the viewer to think that the timeline has been reset. Then Jack walks past a TV screen at the airport, which shows Barack Obama speaking.....but it's his speech before the 2004 Democratic National Convention, which means that this is months before Flight 815, and we're watching a flashback, so nothing has been reset.

My initial guess is that they'll start with a close up of Jack's eye to make us think everything has been reset, but then quickly zoom out to show it hasn't.

But, then I'd have no idea where to go from there. They're pretty consistent at starting with new or rarely used people, so it's probably a literally unpredictable scene.

The story has been pretty epic and time spanning so far, I'd love for them to go balls to the walls sci-fi and get flung to the far future. it would be awesome flying cars!!! but even int he future kate would f things up somehow.

Whatever they do will be a fake out. That is, they will make us think it is one thing when it turns out to be another.

I had a thought the other day that maybe they will be back on Flight 815 before the crash but somehow retain all their memories. Then, either Flight 815 crashes like it did before or continues on to LA.

If they land in LA with memories intact Jack and Sawyer would of course try to free/break free Kate. Sawyer might want to try and go back to the Island and get Juliet.

And now I'm out of ideas which is why I'm not a writer for LOST.

We'll start in a 2004 revised timeline where 815 doesn't crash. This links to a flashforward to an unaltered 2007 with Ben, Richard, and not-Locke, with the two interlocking like the island the Oceanic 6 earlier this season. Jacob has been influencing the past so that he doesn't die. Or maybe he never really died.

Just don't ask me to work out how they would show two timelines concurrently, since only one would be the real timeline.

The plane still crashes, and once Jack has been sewn up, and they stop the first red shirt from being sucked into the engine, Jack, Kate, Sawyer, Jin, Sun, Hurley and Syied all go to the back door of the hatch, Desmond opens the door, and knows who each of them are.

Meanwhile Faraday is watching tv, and when the news report of the flight going missing comes on, he has a moment of clarity, and starts remembering everything too.

As the season goes on they start altering events with their prior knowledge of what has happened before.

They tell Ethan they know who he is, and who sent him, and request a meeting with Ben and Richard, at the same time they send people to the other side of the island to help the tailies.

Back in LA, Daniel meets with his mother and Widmore in an attempt to break the cycle from their end too.

Jack and Sawyer convince Ben and Richard to have a truce based on their insider knowledge of events like Jughead and Jacob.

There is no war between the survivors and the others, but then a mysterious 3rd party turns up on the island

It would be even more fun if they all kept their Island memories as well. Imagine the meetup between Michael, Libby and AnaL.
