No work, no news, no Florida, nothing but a pleasant day, my family including my grandson, the hotel pool, alcohol and Jack-in-the-Box tacos! (I'm pointing at a Jack-in-the-Box bag. My brother is from California and lives in FL now and I told him when I came out here to California, I'd get JITB tacos. YUM.

Here for a wedding. Greetings from the Los Angeles area. Try not to break the board when I'm away. The Tal Shiar is still watching. ;)

Jack-in-the-Box tacos? You have to hit In-N-Out for a Double Double cheeseburger, stat. It's tradition when one makes the pilgrimage to California.

Here's the "secret menu" in case you're interested.

Have fun on your trip. :)

Americans. They visit new places, and what they do? They try fast food joints. Bah.

:p

Bah! I only brought it up because she already mentioned fast food. :p

Now, if she wants a list of places to visit, I could do that too, but it doesn't sound like it's that kind of trip.

I've noticed that when a person says, "I'm from LA" or "I'm going to LA," those not from LA say something like, "Oh, that's nice." Those FROM the LA area ask, "What part of LA?"

So, what part of LA are you in? Are you going to sightsee at all?

Forget that noise.

Go to Tommy's for a double chili cheeseburger. It is pure heaven.

Have fun in my beautiful hometown!

Looks like we traded. I'm in Dallas for business this week, and am going to be in New York this weekend before heading back to the Golden State.

You know, I don’t think I have EVER eaten at a Jack in the Box.

However, I’ve had In ’n Out (a bit greasy for me though I know that may be precisely why people like them) and Tommy Burgers (the one in Rampart Precinct--sounds odd that it’s identified by the police precinct, but understandable when you’re there, and plenty of cops around on Friday nights).

Now, if you want something from a LOCAL chain, try Zankow Chicken. The garlic sauce is fantastic! Or Umami Burger--finally got to go, when we were in town. The Hermosa Beach one allows a nice walk along the beach area.
