You are right. If they are on the list then Margaret Atwood should be there. Actually, on second glance there are a lot of names that are not traditionally considered writers within the genre and there is probably a big difference between the best writers on this list and the "best SFF" writers.

Umberto Eco is a great writer, for example, but is he as great a Science Fiction writer as Asimov? See what I mean?
 
You know, there has to be a practical limit to the size of these "games". Having one with so many options it could go on for quite awhile.

And, by the way, on a list such as this, an alphabetical listing would be beneficial...
 
Maybe we should do a classic SSF writer thread and a modern one. I would have difficulty with the classics (Heinlein a personal favorite) but the modern one has to have Robert J Sawyer on it.
 
Another stupid fucking "hurt/heal" game? What the fuck is the fucking point? Let's ban all "hurt/heal" fucking games.
 
I guess this is just novel and short-story writers? Otherwise, I would put James Cameron and George Lucas on the list.
