Anyone elso try wine with grapes in in ti, sabsolutly fabuour. tHEY TASTE NICE AND DRENCHED ONCE YOU'VE FINISHED THE GLAS Wines fantastic wine. Whats your favourite? Having a rather nice Orvietto at the momentMay as well make some point to this thread ASprobaGonna probably get a wqarning for spamming. oh dear I'm a bit sozzled..
I'm reading a book on the Celts, and apparently there's a spelling difference. Can't remember which. Irish call it whiskey, Scotts call it whisky. Something like that. Never tried grapes in wine, but cherries in moonshine, yes.
Unfortunately, some is shipped out to Japan, America and Spain without going on general sale in the UK. You have to go to the distillery to buy a fair few in Scotland.
Plum wine with plums in it yes, never wine with fresh grapes though, although it seems an obvious thing to try... Never seen anyone else doing it either!
I've called it Whiskey for the last 40 plus years... http://cocktails.about.com/od/spirits/p/whisky_wisdom.htm Must be a regional thing...
I've had a fondness for Orvieto ever since I've visited there. Grapes in wine -- seems rather obvious but still I've never seen it done. Might be worth a shot.
