Got sick of Windows 7, went back to Vista

I'm using Windows 7 RC (x64) as my primary OS ... and I'm not experiencing troubles.
I do have incompatibility issues with TuneUP utilities, but that's about it.
3dsMax apparently works fine, Photoshop as well, Mas Effect (been playing for the past few days).

No problems on my end.

I may run a Hackintosh on my Thinkpad T42p since it's fully compatible with everything except the WiFi :)

I tried 7 out, installed it on a second hard-drive so I could boot either OS (other being Vista) and gave up when I couldn't figure out how to access/save my files (which were on the Vista drive).
I had a similar problem with the beta, I had to go into disk management and assign a drive letter for the Vista partition before it would show up in explorer. I don't think I had that problem with the RC though.

Oh I got it to show up. That wasn't the problem. I just couldn't access it. Said I didn't have permission to or something.

What I find infuriating about Windows 7, is that godawful Windows Explorer and the way it navigates folders on a computer. Seriously, what was wrong with the way XP did it?!

Why isn't there a 'desktop' link in the Save As pop up box for instance? All I can see is Documents, C, D, Shared etc...

Explorer was one of the buggiest things in that OS. I don't know why, isn't it the same Explorer you can download from their website?

No, that's Internet Explorer. This Explorer is just a system file browser and it's integrated into the OS.

Ah, he meant Windows Explorer. Well what I found annoying was the new Paint program. It looks radically different. If they wanted to enhance the graphics and choices, why not do it but keep the same style?

Because one thing about Microsoft is a general consistency in style of the U/I to it's applications. Starting with Office 2007 we've seen the biggest revamp since Windows Apps first appeared. 20 years of the menu bar going File Edit...Help is going and as the new MS Apps come out they will have the revamped appearance.

Vista saw the disapperance of the Start Button (labelled as such) that had been there since Windows 95.
