God or anime, gee tough choice

why dont they have a channel with religious themed anime: Hellsing, Trinity Blood, Witch Hunter Robin...

Well it would be kind of a short list if you were just doing Christianity. If you expanded it to those with Budahist, Taoist, and Shinto theme's then you would probabally have enough to populate an entire network.

When I watched the channel first they had Transformers and Planetes along with GITS and Cowboy Bebop, then it was just the latter two.

One of the kids channels was good enough to run Samurai Jack a while back, but there's little regular anime on UK channels (satellite or cable). Can't the Sci-fi channel pick some of this up?

They used to run anime late night on the weekends, and it's one of their most requested things, but apparently it doesn't get the ratings they want for the time slot. I remember when they took it off they turned it in to a "loosely based on sci-fi softcore porn slot" which drew a lot of complaints from people who loved Anime, but it stayed that way for a few years, so I guess soft core porn got better ratings than anime.
