Goauld Symbiots?

Crewman47

Something I've been confused about how the Goauld reproduce and are implanted in Human hosts and Jaffa is, if each symbiot has the same amount of knowledge and information as the Queen who spawned it then how is it that Jaffa such as Teal'c do not posess all this knowledge from there own symbiot? I'm assuming that it could have something to do with the genectic coding of Jaffa (I'm right in saying that Jaffa are/were genetically created by the Goauld?) that prevents them from accessing the info but to instead just carry it until maturity as there designed for?

Is this right?

I mean we've seen cases where a Goauld symbiont will be accidently impanted into a Human, eg Simmons, Conrad etc, and they've taken on the characteristics of a Goauld with all the knowledge they have rather acting like a Jaffa.

Jaffa carry the symbiot in their belly, in a pouch meant to nourish it until it reaches maturity. When a symbiot takes someone over, it plugs into their brainstem, giving them control over the host (and, if the symbiot is incapacitated, giving the host control of the goa'uld). It's possible for a Jaffa to communicate with his symbiot, as we saw in the first episode with Tanith, but it takes effort, and is much cruder than the brain-to-brain connection of a goa'uld that has taken someone over.

The Jaffa are not connected to the Goa'uld in its belly like it is when a Goa'uld implants itself in a host taking over the body, two very different things. The jaffa's belly is basically an incubation chamber for the Goa'uld larva to grow and mature. In fact, a Goa'uld cannot inhabit and control a host until it reaches a certain maturity level.

That's one thing that always bugged me. There are like millions of Jaffa and therefore millions of symbiont's so why are there not more Goa'uld in the galaxy? and it seems stupid to me for the system lords to even give birth to more symbiont's because when they mature they could become a threat to them.

Beeen a problem for me too, if every Jaffa lives to say 200-300 years, and they all have symbiotes, shouldn't there be millions of Goa'uld out there considering Jaffa have been around for 3000+ years?

Maybe they just eat the symbiotes
