Glenn Beck Vid : Inconvenient Debt

He's more than a bit nuts, without getting into stories of him being punk'd by people broadcasting they can solve his woes by turning the corpses of illegal immigrants into fuel :alienblush:. Let's avoid all the baggage which comes with his past and deal with what the guy is saying right now.
"Inconvenient Debt"

He's talking about a tough next year, packed with hyper inflation because too much money has been printed. Nobody wants to talk about the possibility of failure, the GW Bush 700 billion bailout did not work. Why is Obama's stimulus so different? There were reports some journalist overheard Vice President Biden saying even if they do it all correctly there's still a 30% chance of failure. I don't know about you guys but I don't want to be hearing about 30% chances of fail, I want to hear of percentages of 90% or more of success. One of the better ideas in this bill is to provide (buy) jobs, however it should not be short term jobs that will eat through this multi billion package in a few weeks, it should be less pork and more about providing long term jobs and perhaps add some more tax cuts. I don't like what's happening in Michigan, but the auto makers also need to be able to compete and better their Asian counter parts. You will need long term jobs if workers will have their credit upgraded.

I like what one British politican did, he threatned to campaign bringing back the guillotine. :rommie: I think that's what some Congressmen should do, scare some of these so-called banker guys with talk of the electric chair. That would stop some of these Madoffs from giving each other multi million dollar bonuses.

Beck is big on faux outrage but not so big on things like "facts" and "details".

Like when he asked Congressman Keith Ellison of Minnesota, who is a Muslim: "Prove to me, sir, that you are NOT a terrorist."

What a fucking moron. Zero respect.

He actually has some good points about how far this country has gotten away from it's roots and on a few other issues. He is willing to actually talk about what huge failures the Republicans have been in recent years.

Unfortunately he is also a religious NUT, who suffers from born again Christian-itis.

He was a morning zoo type hack with serious drug and alcohol problems. After converting to being a Mormon he basically combined a Rush Limbaugh type show with typical moronic morning zoo style hijinx. And it worked, his shows are a huge success!

Once Limbaugh is out of the picture Glenn Beck will be the one taking his place. It won't be Hannity is who so incredibly boring and predictable and no fun at all.

What really disturbs me about Glenn Beck is his contant crying. Literal crying. I don't listen to his show often since I disagree with him about most things, but when I get tired of listening to music at work I put him on for a change.

I've heard the guy start crying on air at least 5 or 6 times over the period of a couple of years, usually when he is talking about Jesus, America or his children. That wouldn't be so bad, but then he will INSTANTLY stop and go into a commercial. I don't trust Glenn Beck one bit and personally believe that half of what he says and does is a pose.

I think that he believes that he is destined by God to be some sort of new great American patriot on the level of the founding fathers which is sort of frightening. I also believe that he is pushing for a new cival war and wants the few conservative states left to form their own country. He denys that, but I don't buy it. And that REALLY frightens me. Glenn Beck is a very dangerous guy and a religious fanatic.

For the record, I'm not ultra liberal before someone starts bashing me on that.. I'm a libertarian (ideas which Glenn Beck claims to be sympathetic to..yeah right) We need god OUT of the Republican party, that is something Beck will never understand.

Let's pretend for one min lefties like Keith Olbermann and righwing nuts like Beck aren't out there. Less imagine a non-partisan guy gave you this InconvenientDebt news. Less of shooting the messenger and more of dealing with the message please.

I watched that video, and Beck makes no sense at all. He's equating the amount of money in the system with debt (which isn't the same thing) and also seems to believe that the Federal Reserve printed money to pay for 1960s-era Great Society social programs - while never mentioning massive government spending on defense and war.

He has absolutely no idea what he's talking about.

I like also like Glenn's show. Sure, he's bat-shit-crazy and I usually don't agree with his conclusions... but he does run an entertaining show.

This is something that has been driving me nuts. Suddenly, Glenn decides that he's a Libertarian?!? Umm... perhaps you should google 'libertarian' first to see what they believe, dude.

Glenn Beck is a Republican through and through. 'Individual Liberty' is a foreign concept to him.

I remember back when Liberals AND Conservatives used to believe that.

Agreed. You know, there are still a lot of us left, liberals and conservatives who still believe in individual liberty. What's happened is that ideologues have taken control of the parties, taken control of news media outlets, taken control of what we should think, feel and say. The thing is, we don't have to listen to them, but so many do. When Glenn Beck or Rush Limbaugh talks, intelligent conservatives should laugh him right off the air. When Keith Olbermann starts getting tingly, liberals should laugh him right out of the studio. We need to bring balance back to these parties if we're going to keep them.

Thank you! I hate when someone mindlessly bashes Limbaugh and then praises Olbermann, or vice versa. Two sides of the same repulsive coin.

Hey, I'm even a freedom hating liberal and I think they're both experts in partisan hackery. ;) :D

Seriously though, I just dislike the "necessity" of spinning information toward one party over another.
I don't put it past either partisan ideologue to simply make things up. Shoot, we have people who do
that for free. When you keep in mind that these people are getting paid to have these opinions, then
it makes it much easier to doubt what they say.
