German Translation Please?

I've got a car ad with 4 free movie passes to the first person that can tell them "What the VW beetle is "saying"

Sprachen sie kerle mit John Barnes über jene preise

Babel fish translates it as

hey spoke chaps with John barnes about those praise

I was hoping some of the native German speakers here might be able to help me out. If they've screwed up the ad, that might help me too.

Not native, but I did pick up a little German while living next to the border.

I'd translate it to this:
"Hey guys, did you speak to John Barnes about the price?"

Well I am a native speaker and thats pretty horrible german...
But "Did you guys speak with John Barnes about these prices" should be an pretty accurate english equivalent.
Omnius got it pretty much right, except "jene Preise" is usually plural.

Thanks guys. Not long after posting I called the town's token Jew (originally from Austria) and asked her to translate it for me. She was happy to oblige and we won.. woohoo. I had a feeling it'd be bad German, because she's the only German speaker in town that I'm aware of and they didn't have her do the original translation.
