George Clooney returns to ER!

Well, there ya go, sources have all but confirmed that Clooney will be returning to the role of Dr. Doug Ross for the ER series finale. I'm excited, but at the same time fail to see the point of his return. The only characters still around from his tenure on the show are Jerry, Haleh, Lily and a couple of the other nurses and paramedics so it will be very interesting to see how this story plays out. Perhaps a reunion with Carter, Weaver Benton could be on the cards???

Also, rumours are appearing that ER could be revived for another season on a rival network, namely, ABC. Unlikely, but anything is possible.

Anywho, heres the link documenting George's return...

George Clooney I was actually expecting. The move to another network is highly unlikely.

I hope that they can convince Margulies (I know that's not the right spelling and if it is I'm shocked) to join him.

A+ for spelling nx, but I doubt that she'll return, although I would very much welcome it. Hathaway was hot.

^ She left a million dollar-per-episode gig to... do nothing. And now she won't come back?

Is Sherry Stringfield coming back (again)? She'd be the last of the originals.

Maybe Clooney will come back as the new head of some dept. and the series will end full circle.

I wish. Susan was my favourite character, but like Margulies, highly doubtful. She broke her contract twice and after the way the producers handled her 2nd exit we'll be lucky just to get a mention of her in the retrospective they have planned.

I haven't watched er for seaons on end, despite it being must-see tv for years. I'll tune in to see Doug Ross return. Was it reported somewhere that Mark Green is (somehow) making an appearance, too?

In the final episode the hospital is invaded by zombies of former patients and staff who have died there.

They're led by Zombie Romano.

Cool. I'll be sure to set the dvd-r. :p

Dr. Doug Ross will explain before a military-FBI hearing what "the truth" is and the meaning of the past seasons, that almost every patient to enter the ER could've been saved, but the military-industrial complex blocks life-saving treatments and cures from being available. Ross explains that he recieved proof of this from a mysterious source.

Then Dr. Ross and Carol Hathaway (Juliana Maruglies) will find Dr. Mark Greene (Anthony Edwards) alive, living in a Navajo ruin. Dr. Greene reveals that it was he who sent Ross the classified documents. He then informs Ross that the CIA plans to unleash a strain of bird flu that will kill 90% of the human race in the year 2012. Shortly after, helicopter gunships arrive and blow the pueblo up.

Hathaway and Ross escape and have a completely unrelated adventure nine years later, not even mentioning the upcoming viral apocalypse.

ER: fight the future!

or Ross brings together an A list cast of actors to rob a hospital that's holding 20 million in gold in the basement.

The way NBC is adding on a few episodes at a time for this season, the season my last 187 episodes. They started with 13, added a few, then added a few more and are up to 18-19 I think.

The show needs to end, however the show is still one of the highest rated shows NBC has.

Once again, make an ER spinoff! :)
