Genndy Tartakovsky's "Clone Wars"

Had a specific question about this...

Does it seem to anyone else that C-3PO's first scene with dialogue in Tartakovsky's "Clone Wars" ("A slight detour?...") was not voiced by Anthony Daniels?

All the other scenes clearly were Daniels, but the voice in that scene sounds like a very poor imitation.

I thought Anthony Daniels has been involved from start to finish throughout both of the Clone Wars animated series over the course of the past decade (also the big screen animated film)? As far as I was aware, he was a part of the Tartakovsky microseries from Threepio's first appearance to the last.

But I could be wrong. It always sounded like Anthony to me, however.

YouTube posts the entire microseries, or at least it did when I spotted it on a menu about a week back. It appeared to be every chapter from 2003-05 bundled into one long video. It seemed to be the real deal as originally aired on Cartoon Network and that's legit enough for me.

If YouTube of all places doesn't feel like pulling it then it must be okay.

I edited both volumes together on a single DVD to watch it as a complete prequel.

Maybe Tony was just out of practice and wasn't quite himself on his first few lines... Here's the direct link to the scene in question:

Not only does the voice sound different to me, but also the way it's processed.

I'd say I enjoyed the series overall quite a bit.

Certain episodes are exceptional, such as Ventress's first two episodes (chapters 6 & 7) and the Ilum arc (chapters 14-16).

The episodes with Mace Windu vs. a huge formation of ground droids and the giant stomping machine are a hoot (chapters 12 & 13).
