Gen Media Avatar Contest: Come Rain or Shine

Thanks to all those who voted in the avatar contest (including those who voted for me! ).

Given that the recent snowstorms in the UK are currently on my mind (and on the mind of others here) I thought this week's theme ought to focus on The Weather.

Film, TV, or videogame scenes, or books where the weather plays an important role: sunny days, heatwaves, blizzards, tornadoes, rain storms, ice and frost, or just a mere hurricane - this week, it's time to take the weather with you. Even your favourite weather forecasters (real or fictional) might take your fancy. Bonus points if you can even crowbar your favourite weather-related song in there.

As with the previous contests, they wouldn't include SF&F. I know, it doesn't leave much room for manoeuvre, but there are still lots of creative and original possibilities out there.

Because of the late starting of this contest, I'll open entries up until about Monday afternoon GMT, depending on how many entries we get, then start the poll.

captcalhoun, me I prefer the second one - it seems to really bring out the snow.

I've no idea what I'll do this week, but I'll have a few ideas or two...
