Geminid Meteor Shower

No such luck here. :( Finnish weather never disappoints: every time there is something interesting happening in the sky, you can guarantee it's completely overcast.

Almost missed the transit of Venus last summer. Saw a grand total of 30 seconds of it when there was a hole in the clouds. :)

hmm, it's only noon here. A sunny day, though. With a little luck it stays clear enough for me to see them tonight. However, I live downtown and there's a lot of light pollution around me. Also, I can see only a very narrow sector of the sky.

Was clear skies last night but didn't see anything.

Forecast is overcast for the next five days.

Typical weather here for space events this year. Saw the Transit of Venus, just managed to catch the eclipse last month, missed an aurora, missed the leonids and will likely miss this.

Yeah, these last few months have been terrible for astronomy. We haven't been able to do very much with our club because whenever we schedule something, weather prevails.

amen to that, brother. Whenever there is a solar or lunar ecclipse, a comet or an interesting planetary constellation, you can bet that it'll be cloudy :( It's even been over a year since I last saw the ISS
