Gary Hutzel has passed away

According to a Facebook post by the Okudas Gary Hutzel has passed away. He was the Visual Effects Supervisor on TNG, DS9 and later on on BSG and Caprica. Most recently he worked on the three seasons of "Defiant". I was always a big fan of what he and his team did especially on DS9 and BSG and had hoped he would maybe return for the new series.

Rest in Peace.

Whatever issue I had with the new BSG, his work was always stellar.

Such a horrible loss. He had such amazing talent and seemed to be a great mentor to those who worked with him.
