Gargoyles: Questions?

Maybe ask...Google? I'm sure there's an episode guide somewhere, and it will probably be more thorough than info you'll get on Trek board. I mean, I watched Gargoyles growing up, too, but don't even remember that there was a "Coyote 3.0," let alone what episode it's in.

I'd wager that's something in the comic book series that came out a few years ago which was written by the series maker Greg Weisman. I haven't read it yet.

^In other words, this is the equivalent of somebody asking which Star Wars film Grand Admiral Thrawn appeared in?

ETA: Scratch that, they were in the series. The Gargoyle Wiki has a page on the Coyote series, with the list of episodes they appeared in. Thus answering the OP.

By the way – it took me all of five seconds to Google "Coyote 3.0." That page was the first hit.

Still waiting on Disney to release Season 2 Vol. 2 on DVD. Still very upset with them for not having already done so.

My understanding is that season 2 volume 1 didn't sell well enough to warrant volume 2. Regrettable, but understandable.

You're going to be waiting for a LOOOONG time unfortunately.

Volume 1 didn't sell enough for them to consider releasing volume 2. So, like me, we unfortunately have to be satisfied with what we have right now.

are there any good animated shows out there btw? i'd love to watch something like gargoyles with the long storied character arcs?

im loving the avengers, but thats only break atm

If you missed it, Avatar the Last Airbender is my vote for best animated series of all time. It's like Gargoyles but better in every way, and I love me some Gargoyles. Also, Justice League.

I second Mr Light's recommendations. Also, Gargoyles creator Greg Weisman is currently the showrunner on Cartoon Network's Young Justice, and before that ran the two seasons of The Spectacular Spider-Man, a show which unfortunately got cancelled due to the Marvel/Disney merger. Both shows feature a lot of the same storytelling trademarks as Gargoyles, with smart writing and evolving arcs and rich ensemble casts and the like, though SSM was lighter in tone and cartoonier in visual style than the others. Both SSM and YJ have also featured a number of Gargoyles cast members in guest roles.

hi guys, was just re-watching 'edge' where xanatos introduces his red suit and im starting to remember how much i loved this show as a kid.

i'm wanting to watch the episodes with robots in them. i came across this page: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pack_%28Gargoyles%29

could anyone tell me where the coyote 3.0, 4.0 etc show up?

thanks

3.0 - Grief (the egyptian episode with Anubis)
4.0 - Cloud Fathers (the arizona episode with Coyote the Trickster)

There is also a 5.0 in the Gargoyles comics and then there is the Coyote-X, the future and ultimate incarnation of the robots.

i'm watching young justice atm and it seems ok, but i'm not quite as familiar with the DC universe.

i'm recognizing a lot of the voices though.

yep, i just saw these, thanks.

so many great episodes. i just finished watching 'future tense'. wow, so well done. i don't remember watching it when it first aired.

Future Tense might be my favorite episode of the series, though I -love- Puck's monologue even later in the series...you'll know it when you see it!

So, so, so annoyed that these episodes haven't made it to DVD.

Well, no, Stan Lee and Steve Ditko developed Spider-Man, but Greg Weisman was the showrunner on the latest TV incarnation of the character. I can't give an episode-by-episode breakdown, but I felt that season 1 of The Spectacular Spider-Man was stronger than season 2.

yah, great episode man.

i just watched pendragon and didn't enjoy it at all. i really liked the one where oberon fights the iron clan.

i'm rewatching 'the edge' and it's just so good.

looking back on it, it might have been better if the red robot was just a clever robot and not xanatos.

I can't imagine why. Then it would've just been a random action story with no actual meaning. The whole point of the story was about Xanatos proving to himself that he still had "the edge" and was able to both outfight and outwit his opponents. Without that, there's no story at all.
