The first woman to direct Star Trek. Gabrielle Beaumont directed seven episodes of the next generation, and one each of Deep Space Nine and Voyager. Rest in peace.

Indeed. Female show crew are just as relevant as female captains. So, Ms. Beaumont was like Janeway, in a way.

I loved Disaster, and Blink of an Eye is one of my all time favorites.

She did some of the best episodes of the marvellous Hill Street Blues, and it’s strange spin-off, Beverly Hills Buntz.

Almost all her episodes were really good ones... "Booby Trap", "The High Ground", "Suddenly Human", "Disaster", "Face Of The Enemy", "Lower Decks", "IN PURGATORY'S SHADOW", "BLINK OF AN EYE". Only "Imaginary Friend" was middling, and that was really more a script and story issue, in my opinion. A shame she didn't do more DS9 or VGR, because both her sole efforts for each were outstanding.

She was married to veteran actor Olaf Pooley, who was in "Blink of an Eye" - a great of sci-fi, not just Trek.

She died at age 80.

A true trailblazer, and the guiding hand behind many of my favorite, and some of the most highly regarded, Trek episodes and episodes of other series. Rest in peace, after a life well-lived.
