G4 not running TNG any more?

After SPIKE stopped running TNG just when season 7 would have started again (and my recording to DVD thus got jammed) I actually switched to digital cable "for a few months", since G4 was about to catch up to the point where the SPIKE run ended.

Well, G4 got up to the start of season 7, ran the first few episodes...

...and then started jumping around. Episodes from any season BUT season 7, or so it seemed, in no particular order.

Okay...I guess they ended up running two or maybe three from season 7 finally, but that's only been recently, and they're not doing every one.

Now, I noticed that at the end of the month they're going to have a four hour marathon, playing "Encounter at Farpoint" and "All Good Things..."

I can't find any listings for anything after that.

Is it happening again? Is G4 now dropping the show? Why is this happening? (I mean, Paramount couldn't possibly know about my still needing to record year seven! I haven't told anyone but you guys! :p )

May sound foolish, but I want the final episodes to match my other recordings.

I may end up just transfering the old VHS rapes I recorded, tho' that's my least favorite option. (Won't quite match the better "direct to DVD" recordings I got off SPIKE.)

From the looks of what is listed on that day it sounds like they may have lost their rights to show it as well.

The marathon will end with a documentary called "Journey's End".

Journey's End is on the last season 7 disc right?

TNG has not been on saturday or sunday evenings consistently for a few weeks now. I do wonder if its going away.

In Canada we still get TNG on Space, but that's the only way there is to watch it now. No wonder I'm getting all the dvd sets! I have a $50.00 gift card from Future Shop so I can buy season 5. YAY. :D

Gastrof, if I were you I would wait for deepdiscount.com's next 20 percent off sale (should be sometime in June) and buy the complete series. If the price stays the same as it is right now, the discounted price would be somewhere in the area of $230 USD for the whole series. Save up some cash and avoid G4 and Spike's wacky schedule (and other headaches with watching the show on those networks)

Well, as said above, all I need now is season 7, and I have that on VHS. ("Tapes"...not "rapes" as typoed above , tho' I suppose recordings with commercials could be considered a form of the latter.)

*sigh*

Maybe it'll show up on SlyLieChunnel? (I'm thinking this "disappaearance" is due to them planning a High Def remastering, and they're trying to create a demand.)

It's just a bit troubling, knowing the only Trek I've DVD-corded completely is VOYAGER and ENTERPRISE.
