FYI: Star Trek Continues this Weekend in IMAX Midnight Showings

Just thought it'd be good for everyone to know that IMAX theatres are going to continue showing Star Trek on IMAX screens through Memorial Day weekend, but ONLY for MIDNIGHT SHOWINGS.

Of course, this might vary from theatre to theatre, but all the ones I've checked so far will have the movie.

This is a great sign that theatres don't want to give Trek up yet. Hopefully, it gets a full-blown re-release in a couple weeks.

My local theaters in NYC seem to be ending it Friday, so I'm going to see it tomorrow on the biggest IMAX in the city just for the spectacle. Then I'll see it at least one more time on a regular screen before all the other summer movies come flooding in.

If the numbers are impressive enough for these midnight IMAX showings, and with the numbers so far, that should happen. Hopefully, as you say.

Went to the IMAX showing for the eighth time tonight and was told they will be having midnight showings through Saturday.

This is at the Randall 15 IMAX in Batavia, Illinois, where geeks from Fermilab have been keeping the show well attended.

I think #8 is going to be my last, though.
