FX to Pay Up to $24 million to broadcast Star Trek

Kinda random news, but interesting nonetheless. FX has picked up the rights to broadcast Star Trek starting in the holiday season of 2011 -- 30 months from now!

In what's said to be a standard four-year movie license, FX could pay Paramount as much as $24 million for the sci-fier -- or about 12% of box office gross if it hits the $200 million threshold domestically.
