That's looking solid bro. But then again, coming from you, I'd expect nothing less.
Brilliant work sir!

I'm rewatching VOY, but I haven't gotten to the episode where they attempt slipstream, but from I remember, they had to use the deflector for yet another function it wasn't specifically built for. If it's a Jack of all trades, it's an expert at none. I've read Destiny, and started Typhon Pact, and given the art of the Vesta and Luna classes, there doesn't appear to be any new exterior component(s) that facilitates slipstream drive to solve the problems Voyager encountered. Seems like it would have been an opportunity to go with a new look for a new technology, but I guess that ball was dropped with the fake NX-01. Then again, advanced alien tech, so . . . .

But anyway, I figured at some point, your first generation slipstream drive is too slow, so ways are approached to make it faster. I always liked the ring concept, and this drive ring isn't for warp, but has energy emitters on its leading edge to open and control the slipstream conduit, and is a swept-back elliptical hoop, as opposed to a true circle. Something something squashed conduit for something something z axis control or something. I just draw a correlation between tunnels and hoops. Call me crazy.

Debating whether or not to include pylons to the warp nacelles. I prefer a more straight line direct path for warp plasma routing, and don't like the idea of sending it down, and up and around. On the other hand I favor new intermix reactor designs, or warp cores in the nacelles themselves. At some point all this technology should advance toward a new look.

Yeah, I need to back to this. I have another one in the fire right now, a Blender model of a no-frills TOS 2250s era concept.
