Future of Paramount+ among merger talks

They made the cardinal mistake of removing a favorite character because... reasons.

Kayce Dutton's wife (Monica) was an integral part of his world and a balancing counterweight to his dark past, keeping him grounded in the present. They removed that balance and he's drifting into extremely dangerous and self-destructive waters, taking life & death risks when he should be a father to their son, who has also become unmoored with the mother's death. He thinks being an activist is what she would want, but I'm not so sure, so he's just being rebellious against the authoritarian dad, who "has only known a life of punishment" for himself (a great quote from the main show). That's no way to live life, and these critical infrastructural flaws are manifesting negatively into the narration.

That, plus it's all kind of depressing.

I don't predict a bright future for this show.

"The Madison" also looks pretty damned dour, so I'm not likely going to be watching that one either, despite the fact I really like Kurt Russell as an actor and a person.

arent the ellison family right wing trumpers

It's more complicated than that. Larry Ellison is a big-time Trumper, but his son David is not, as you can see by his donation history.

I think David is happy to use his father's connections with Trump to help along the mergers/smooth things out for the next three years. However, once Trump is out of office, I expect he'll quickly pivot the business to wherever he thinks he can make the most bank.

I wouldn't call Larry Maga in the traditional red hat sense either. He's using Trump to further his own ends. That being Oracle and Israel.

Larry was very close with Obama. They used to hang out at his country club together.

The integration of CBS and Paramount cable assets under George Cheeks, Chair of TV Media, continues. After BET Studios in December became a label of CBS Studios, the same is now being done with Nickelodeon Animation Studios, which also will function as a label within the David Stapf-run TV studio going forward.

With that, all production units in Cheeks’ expanded portfolio after the Skydance merger are now being consolidated into one, CBS Studios.

It’s not other people’s posts, they’re my posts. I just didn’t write the articles myself. Also, do I have to add a comment just to start a discussion? Maybe there isn’t any comment related to the topic—I might just want to share the news I read. Isn’t that allowed?
