Futurama is back! :)

Or..the only one bored enough to hate a show but open a topic about said show to tell everyone you hate it

:)

Uh...yeah, I didn't open the topic but thanks :)

I just never got into it but I'm not one of those losers who will say YOU'RE ALL RETARDED FOR WATCHING THIS because I really don't care who watches it, I am just sharing how Bender makes me laugh sometimes but I never really got into it for some reason.

...you know, just incase my obvious sarcasm in my previous post wasn't so obvious, haha.

I'm a little trepidacious. I saw what happened to Family Guy. I'm going to wait and see how it plays out.

I'm worried about that too. I don't think Futurama is nearly as formulaic as Family Guy is with all of its manatee jokes and "let's push this one joke for four minutes" way of doing things, though. There's hope yet.

Ths is only awesome of MAtt and Cohen still have creative control. The story I read was "Futurama" wasnt' so much as cancelled as was Matt refused to give uyp creative control to FOX over the series (see the last ten+ years of "The Simpsons" to see what creative control by FOX is like...). FOX insisted, Matt didn't budge. New season was aroudn the corer, neither side would let go, and ultimately it was never added toe line up and Matt's group disbanded.

I retract my earlier statement of welcoming new episodes. I will welcome them after confirmation Matt (and hopefully Cohen) still have creative control.

Really? I have never heard that but good for him. All I know is they were never canceled, Fox just stopped calling them back.

And great, an AU version of the show... sheesh.... It's a cartoon, just ignore the black hole part and go back to the regular universe in the new series premiere. I'm sick of AU episodes and flash forwards in time... enough already!
Eh, with a cartoon like Futurama, I'm sure they could explain it away pretty quickly.

Just make the four movies AU, that way all the retconning they didn't doesn't exist in the real universe.
