Just watched this on DVD last night.
I got say it's a very well made film who sets out to do what it's trying to do in a way I haven't seen in a thriller like it since Dead Calm.
But I gotta say I don't like it because it's so nihilistic and sadistic. It really fell off the rails for me when
I don't know. I've heard theories that it's an indictment on viewers who get entertainment value out of violence. That message didn't come through to me.

they shot the boy. It was too much for me to wrap my head around. Just like the parents, I had mentally checked out of the situation.
