Thank you for posting this, Meredith! This has been a bit of a mystery (As the "Lost" in the video's title implies), as Ferguson opened the show that night by explaining that the opening that they had performed for the show could not be broadcast because -at the last minute- the show was informed that the network had not secured the rights necessary to play the Doctor Who Theme for the program. He was very annoyed with the matter and continued to make comments on it during the rest of the show...

I don't watch this show at all, but I wonder how well received that particular episode was... It would have been way over the heads of most people, let alone most casual sci-fi fans whose experience stops at Star Trek and Star Wars...

That is an interesting point. I should also state that I can not remember for sure whether it was the network or some other person/department referred to as "Them" (well, NOT the giant ants) that Craig blamed for not getting the permission required (and also for informing him at only the very last minute of this failure) to play the Doctor Who theme. That is what he said at the time, anyway....
