Funny classic Star Trek moment

I've recently joined the elite class of uber-nerd that has bragging rights to owning all published Star Trek fiction, not to mention first edition copies of all the Pocket books (and most others). I purchased them from another poster on this board who had a recent ebay post of them (that even ended up with its own thread in this forum).

But now, on with the reason I made this thread. One of the classic sets of books published by Bantam in the late 70s were "Fotonovels" which are basicly just comic book style retellings of TOS episodes with pictures from the episode and overlying narration, speech, and thought bubbles. Most of the text is direct lines straight out of the show, but with the added speech/thought bubbles and narration.

I was flipping through the first book which was for "The City on the Edge of Forever" and I got a good laugh at some of the added lines from the onlookers from this defining moment of ST history right after Edith Keeler is hit by the truck.

Others may not find it that funny but I cracked up after reading it. I'm sure there are similar nuggets in the other fotonovels and if I'm ever really bored I'll maybe have a look.

Wait until you see the NuUniverse version. Kirk pushes Edith into the path of the truck when she refuses to sleep with him until they're married.
