In this picture he looks just like Gareth Hunt, who played Mike Gambit on The New Avengers. Different hair, of course.
Too me he strongly resembles Heath Ledger.
It's funny, when I saw that picture of Patrick Stewart, I immediately thought of actor James Marsters, who played Spike/"William the Bloody"/William Pratt on "Buffy the Vampire Slayer" television series. I thought Patrick could have easily and believably played Spike's father in a flashback episode similar to the Season 7 Episode "Lies My Parents Told Me" where we see Spike with his mother in London in 1880 after Drusilla has sired him.
