.....go back in time? I mean, what year was it when Romulus exploded and this time travel was instigated? I'm just curious about how many years it would have been since Spock began his work on Romulus. I know they say the specific number of years traversed at one point (129?), but I don't recall if that was counting from when Nero showed up or when Spock showed up.

The computer on the Jellyfish says 2387 if I heard it properly, which is consistent with the Star Trek Online timeline's statement of when Romulus was destroyed, and Countdown.
So that would be nearly 20 years since "Unification", I guess, which would be consistent with the amount of time that's passed in real time.
To put it in perspective with the other movies, about 8 years after the events of Nemesis according to the Countdown comics
