Well folks, I found this one to be 'Average'. Hopefully, with Peter fully three-dimensional, 'business is about to pick up', in the words of the late Gorilla Monsoon.

I'm outta here folks. Thanks to all members of our little core group who made it for the live portion of things. Hopefully, 4x05 will the best ep yet this season.

Phenomenal episode. The relationship with Walter and Olivia was great and seeing Walter as such a broken man was heartbreaking. This is why I watch Fringe, because of these great characters I love and enjoy watching develop.

I thought it was a good episode. It really did drive home the point that whatever crime that Walter did, it came back to him thricefold, even to the point that the Guest Character of the Episode noticed it. I liked the fact of when Cameron did ask "What happened to him?" didn't get answered.

Didn't see, that cal888 linked to the HD variant already, thus this can be deleted.

Interesting, Olivia and Nina go way back in this reality...

Since Olivia said she shot and killed her Dad in this reality I'm guessing that led to Nina maybe feeling guilt for the trials and becoming some type of guardian for her.

Why do ascended beings always come back naked?

One of the glaring flaws in the show was spotlighted with cruel intensity this episode. The scene where Olivia is badgering poor, crazed Walter to come up with an idea was unpleasant for the obvious abuse of a mentally ill man, but also laugably stupid, for the fool who thinks a mentally ill man can think straight.

The sad part is that both issues could have been addressed by having Peter care enough about his father to take care of him, and smart enough to help turn Walter's scattered thoughts into coherent plans. Unfortunately, the show has always opted to keep Peter there for adoration of Olivia (just as the ascended being is pursuing her instead of Walter!) and made him too stupid to be an effective play in the plots.

Both errors of course were made in the name of making Olivia the Goddess adored by all who showers beneficence on all and whose hangnails are tragedies breaking the hearts of all.

They should have played the Joel Goldsmith theme for ascended beings, it would have added to the scenes.

Great episode and love how everything is so different from the main timeline. Actually its pretty awesome how Walter is playing a 3rd version of his charactor. Guy deserves an Emmy.
