The new bad boy in town woos Tyra; Saracen's mother tries to re-enter his life; Smash leaves Dillon for the first time.

Above average. Goodbye Smash. Poor Matt. Poor Landry. Ugh, Tyra... if only Landry chose the cute spunky nerd girl from season 2... I'll miss Smash, but i'll really miss his family. Where to start with Matt... that kid seems to always get dumped on... he has to deal with so much, and now he's splitting time with JD and trying to readjust to his mom being around.

next week... the return of Herc! (i hope)

Landry turned down nerd girl and now she's saving the world with Matt Parkman instead.

The Smash storyline is fake. Last season he's wanted by all the bigtime D-I schools like Alabama, but because of one little fight everyone pulls away except some small D-II-type school? And then they freak out and pull away because of his injury? And then no one wants to give him a shot?

I was glad to see the Smash story come to a finish. I actually thought his arc was done last season...shows how much I know.

Lookin' forward to seein' Street come back next week!

yeah, nerdy girl traded down to parkman... on heroes, she comes across as a budget version of kristen bell...

as for the smash story... i accept that the D-I schools dropped him because of his fight and the racial overtones related to it, and his apology and it's retraction. so incomes Whitmore, the D-II school offering him a full ride... but then he gets injured and cant play. so it makes sense that if he cant play football, his scholarship is pulled. so smash gives up on football and focuses on alamo freeze.

now it's a bit odd that they never try to go back to whitmore... but smash never seemed that excited about the school... and i dont think it's that questionable for schools to drop interest in an injured/recovering, hot-headed athelete.

From what I read, if Season 2 hadn't ended early, Smash would have regained his TMU scholarship. How Smash lost his scolarship in the first place was one of the more cliched and poorly-written storylines for the show. Although I'm glad with how it concluded in this episode.

Another excellent for me. Strong storyline all around, particularly Matt and his mom. Landry has been a borderline stalker with Tyra but Tyra is no better, particularly with what she pulled.
