Yes, it's a quarter of a century since the world was deprived of his talent, his transcendent voice, his élan, his inimitable showmanship and his unique personality - in short, his majesty.

And yes, the erstwhile Farrokh Bulsara would be seventy if he were still around.

I often wonder what he'd be up to now if he hadn't died.

It's hard to imagine him as an old man. But I wish we'd gotten to find out...

The 1992 Freddie tribute was on sky arts last night. Still amazing to think that it took some of the then-biggest pop and rock stars in the world to replace just one of him.

In a sad coincidence, his mother died last week too.
 
70... Ye gods...
Not a day goes by that I don't seem to hear Queen playing somewhere... Testament to the man and their music...
