Frank's RedHot sauce

I used to go through Franks and Tabasco by the gallon, but then I discovered Sriracha.

Everything else pales in comparison. They have a cheap sample pack too.

I don't just like hot, I like hot with flavor, and some of these really, really hot sauces taste like bromide plastic and I find them disgusting. Frank's isn't hot, but has a very good flavor.

That's why I like Frank's too. I was never into hot sauces until I tried it one day. It just tastes good. Even my wife is using it on Pizza now.

I'm going to have to revive this thread when I get back to Canada next summer so I can try all the other sauces people have recommended!

I sometime mix it 50/50 with BBQ sauce for some tangy/spicey wings
or add a dash to my home made Chilli.

Is it supposed to be *really* really hot?

Heck no. It's hot, but it's not even tabasco sauce hot, and tabasco sauce is about a 5/10 on my hot scale. I don't like super hot things either, I find it actually kills the taste of what I'm eating. Franks is good. If in doubt, put a tiny bit of sugar in it and make a bit of a glaze out of it like my wife does.

There are lots of recipes on the internet for making your own hot sauces from easy to procure ingredients.
