Looks like it might have received some rough reviews, but I actually enjoyed it...I'll tune in! Hope it strikes a chord with the viewership.

Loved it.

Therefore it's doomed.

The Saved by the Bell Kid, his skin has cleared up Since Raising the Bar.

The vomiting was hilarious.

"Next time could you try playing some music which doesn't make me want to kill myself?"

I was so-soed by the pilot. I laughed enough to be willing to give it another shot. I'll watch next week and see how it goes.

Yeah, that's basically my takeaway from it. The pilot had potential for a low-calorie, entertaining legal comedy, but it was just so ... mediocre.

The AV Club did a review of what sounds like the entire first season, and it doesn't sound terribly promising. I especially agree with the criticism that Reed Diamond's character is almost a mustache-twirling cartoon villain.

I'll watch for another week or two, mostly because Breckin Meyer and Malcolm McDowell are pretty watchable, but it's not going to occupy a slot on my DVR just yet.

It's better than the Defenders, and I just sat through a season of that drivel.

Better than raising the bar, but not as good as In the Deep End.

Massively better than Harry's Law and that's about it for recent lawyer shows I can think of.

I think this show has great potential and as far as harry's law I like that one as well.
never saw the deffenders. I might pick it up on dvd

Wow, that was painful to watch.

It had certain elements for a good show, but they were put together wretchedly bad. The "geeky" Indian who's "geeky" references were so dumbed down that someone who's never even heard of the genre would go "oh, I get that, derr herr" was probably the single most pain inducing aspect. The dialogue was horrible, the delivery was even worse, the court cases were ridiculously stupid, and the resolution of those cases even more so.

Just.. wow.

Only thing worthwhile in the entire hour was the gratuitous ass shot. I think tv really needs to retire legal dramas/comedies they've run out of stories to tell or spins.

well I enjoyed the show and going to give this season a try till more science fiction comes back any ways.

I feel your pain. That has described my 2010-2011 TV viewing to a tee.

I liked this show too, kind of reminded me a little of The Defenders that I liked so well this year, only a younger, more zany version.

wow here's something mark-paul gosslaar the guy who play's franklin all so played
zack on saved by the bell.

The second season was a bit of an improvement, but that's not hard considering the premiere. I enjoy these types of shows though, so I'll stick with it a few more episodes to see if it gets any better. I really do think the first episode was mostly a horror show due to the directing and editing more than anything else.

A clever deflection... But you'd have to be more than a simple time traveller to see the second season of Franklin and Bash Checkmate, you'd have to be a Slider because I doubt much this show will survive mid season before it gets struck with cancellation in this dimension.
