A friend of mine shared this with me, and I thought I should pass it alone to my Trekkie friends on this board. :)

Shikarnov, thanks for sharing that. We had been away on vacation and I just saw that last night as I was going through the papers. I laughed out loud.

Close enough for me!

That is FANTASTIC!!! I think I know what I'm making for Christmas Eve at my MIL's!

I saw it Sunday morning and laughed aloud.

May have to learn to bake myself. They would be fun for school next year.

Highly amusing ~ I am inspired to make gingerbread men (and women, and cats, and lemurs...) at work tomorrow and break out the cochineal :techman:

That does look great! I'm nowhere near that talented. I made some chocolate chip cookie abominations tonight. Apparently, they're very good, but they look odd.

A friend cut this out for me and gave it to me this morning, saying "Merry Christmas! I read this and knew you'd like it!" Awesome friend

Sometimes jokes/cartoons/articles etc. will just make you immediately think of a certain person. I think it most considerate when someone takes the time to take a cutting which will either interest or amuse me.

I have a great friend ~ John the "Old Man of The Maltshovel", who cleans (and much more) at the pub I used to work in. Probably the wisest, most caustic yet kindest and funniest septuagarian that I'm very proud to know.
We would entertain each other by cutting out headlines, articles or cartoons and pinning them up around the pub. Most of them were directed at other staff or customers, but we would amuse ourselves for hours with this little 'private joke'!

"Little things..." :D

would love to see pix of the lemurs - do you have cookie cutters or do you free-style them? mine would somewhat resemble potatoes . . .

It was a plan, and a cunning one at that, but went out of the window when I was forced to serve customers instead of playing with cookie mix :weep:
The lemurs will have to wait, but what's wrong with a potato shaped cookie anyway? ;)

you're too kind! most of my cookies resemble potoatoes. you should see my cottage cheese biscuits - they look awful but we don't bemoan their appearance very long - they get eaten too quickly.
