Fox Tagging Shows

I first noticed this last week, and wonder why FOX is now tagging their shows. On the HD fee in the middle lower right hand corner you get #show name. For example

Twitter hash tag?

^ I noticed that as well the other day and recognized it as a Twitter hashtag immediately.

While we're talking about FOX HD, has anyone else noticed sometimes the picture doesn't fill the whole screen? I noticed this with Bones last night, so I switched over to Global HD instead. Later during the hour, I switched back to FOX and it was properly filling the screen the way it should. I noticed the same weirdness with Breaking In on Wednesday.

Yeah, trying to get people to talk about the shows on Twitter. Not a bad idea, actually, if a little obvious—of course people who want to use a hashtag for Fringe are going to use #Fringe.

It's not just Fox. Sometimes the local channels just drop out of HD every once in a while. I think they just lose the HD signal and switch to SD until it comes back.

I wasn't sure if it was a hashtagor not. The placement just seems a bit akward.
