FOX News (Glee, House, Fringe, Allen Gregory)

There was that whole fuss where it sounded like the people graduating were being cut from Glee, then they weren't. I think it's because they were planning the spin-off but with that being gone, it's not that they wanted to get rid of the characters.

I'm surprised by the House news. I thought that it was pretty much a done deal that this was its last season. Though this season has been alright, it's a show that has run out of gas a bit, and is getting repetitive as it searches for fresh ideas.

Plus Gregory House as a character has been ruined more than once.

If you're going to set a show in high school, have the cajones to either write out characters as they graduate or do a show that only runs four seasons.

I don't know, I think some shows are more about the setting and others are more about the characters. If it's about the characters that much, you can change the setting of the show to suit their development. It's not going to be the same show, but I don't see anything inherently wrong about it.

Glee is a show about high school, however. It's about the setting. They should have the courage to write out characters.

Some friends of mine and I always get together and watch FOX Sundays together. None of us liked "Bob's Burgers", so when that would come on, we would turn on the Wii for a half hour. But the cable box was still on and on FOX. One time I made the comment that as far as the cable company and FOX were concerned, we were still watching "Bob's Burgers", and thus providing false data that might keep it on the air. We all laughed and said that we will never hear a network tout a crappy show as a "smash hit" in the same way again.

However, when I made the same comment about "Allen Gregory", we were all unanimous in turning off the cable box or at least changing the channel.

I DVR the entire Sun night lineup EXCEPT for Bob's and Alan Gregory. And, to be honest, quite often I end up not even watching an entire ep of "Simpsons" any more. It's just too painful.

Oh no.

I have this horrible thought.

What if some or one of the graduates try out for American idol, and we follow them up the ladder through the eliminations..

Sam on Glee was a Freshman or sophomore last season, so he's not graduating which does make the stripper thing weird.
