Found a folder I can't delete

I downloaded a program yesterday and I tried deleting the folder it's in today but it says "you need permission to perform this action". I am the administrator of the computer. I suspect that's why Norton picked up something when I installed it. *oops*

any tips on forcibly removing a folder or an installer?

Try Unlocker

If you don't want to install a program to do this you can always boot into Safe Mode

got it, sorry.

It was running in the background silently even though I thought I uninstalled it and deleted the nasty win32 trojan

Remember to do a full scan of your computer again to ensure you have removed all trace of the nasty.
