We got approval from T'Bonz to go ahead and create a new motto for the forum. This is the description seen on the front page, under the forum name, in case anybody has no idea what I'm talking about. I'm sure most of us agree that the old one was rather bland and did not adequately describe the awesomeness that is the Star Trek XI forum.

This is the current April Fools version:
Star Trek the Energizer Bunny. It keeps going and going and going...
I can't remember what the old one was.

I know with the current cast of characters in this forum we can do better.

There aren't really any rules to the contest. Just keep it relatively clean, short, and about Trek XI. T'Bonz has final approval, so keep that in mind. "Come See Uhura's New Boobies" would probably not be acceptable.

After about a week or so we'll vote for the top three out of all the entries. Then we'll narrow those three down to everyone's favorite, which will become the new motto.

Is that fair? Make sense? If not speak up. In the meantime let's see some new mottos. :techman:

This forum was constructed on earth ... by 20th century style welders.

To Boldly Go Where Someone Has Gone Before.

Come and hear of Cogley's "Boston Legal style" ending!

They are raping my father's childhood!

The official prequel to "Star Trek: The Continuing Adventures of Captain Pakistani"

I'll say this much, I take issue with Deep Space Nine's forum getting "The Unappreciated Trek", when clearly it's not... if the regular What's Your Favourite Series? polls are to be believed.

Exactly what was wrong with the original mottos? I get the impression they were switched as an April Fools joke, then stuck...

Yeah, that's exactly what happened. Where have you been the last few days? :p
Perhaps the question should be, where have those running this shit been? :techman:

You know, to my mind any of the official promo taglines work as mottos.

Under Construction for Star Trek (2008)... until the next trailer has the latest one.

The Future is Closer Than You Think for Enterprise... from the old video trailers.

The Human Adventure is Just Beginning for the Movies.

Well, I'm not entirely being serious... but you know, it hasn't been April 1st for quite a while now. Even the pranksters at Star Trek.com would've pulled it the next day. Jokes over and all that.

Maybe not a good one, but "Dont' drop the ball, J.J." or "The ball is in J.J.'s court."

 It's forbidden to talk about our overlord MODMAN in such a blasphemous manner! You might get permabanned ... Nice to have known you, Chris. :(
I may be fairly new here, but is this kind of rudeness really tolerated? :vulcan:
"New movie: $150M; Fan excitement, fear, hope: priceless"

Well to borrow Groucho Marx's famous line...

"Whatever it is, I'm against it!" :)

Another thought might be...

"Love it or hate it, we still have yet to see it!"

They just haven't been unstuck. Some may become permanent, others won't. There is a thread in QS&F on the subject.

Are you certain that it's rudeness? :vulcan:

It was not! I was just jokin' around. Sorry. :)
Don't worry. I think everyone realises this. My response was flippant and in the same spirit. Definitely not intended as an insult to those work, sometimes tirelessly behind the scenes.

"Running this shit" is an expression that I must've picked from spending too much free-time here.

Paying homage to the first movie: "The human adventure is just beginning...", or a slight variation "The human adventure begins again".

I think Cogley said it first, but forgive me if I'm wrong on that point:

We have nothing to post but fear itself
