yeah those were both aired on Spike TV earlier this week. It seems like it's been 30 years since I last saw them (temporal anomaly?), so they were like brand new episodes to me, more or less. Very good, indeed.
I watched those yesterday and the day before 2 of 10!! I really liked them too- great set up, and I find the more I watch those early eps, the more I realize how important those first seasons were and how much foreshadowing there was!
Fav 2 parters other than those?? (This is tricky cuz I keep wanting to put general 2-in-a-row ones I liked...)

Well, I always liked the 3-parter that opened season 2 ("The Homecoming", "The Circle", "The Siege"), but that doesn't count as a 2-parter I suppose. I remember when that 2nd episode first aired, and then we hit "To Be Continued" again...that was an exciting feeling to me. The episodes had a lot of fun too.
I thought it was pretty cool that DS9 generally broke the TNG "rule" that part 2 was never as good as the first part. It was very nice to see some planning from the writers. The TNG companion has a bit about BOBW, where Michael Piller flat out said he didn't know how it would end til he sat down to write part 2 in August. He obviously learned from that, and used it himself then passed it on to his successors on DS9. The series stands apart from its predecessors and its successors in that regard. 
Favor the Bold / Sacrifice of Angels is easily the best 2-parter of DS9, and IMO all of trek. I consider Way of the Warrior a single feature length episode, but that would definately be up there too. Purgatory / Inferno was also good, but mainly because the first scene of By Inferno's Light is THE best scene in the series:

Dukat: Your concern is touching major but I'm afraid you misunderstand me. I'm not attacking the Dominion fleet (grins). I'm joining it!

That scene would have been better if Kira had reduced Dukat and his ship to wreckage right then... Dukat's ambition clearly outweighed his common sense...

You named it right there. "Improbable Cause" is very high up on my list of all time best Star Trek episodes.
