For your amusement, the road to McCoy...

Apparently in Hollywood you have to pay your dues before you get the great roles like Dr. Leonard H. McCoy. I give you Karl Urban in the role of Cupid in Hercules: The Legendary Journeys. While it may have put food on the table this kind of role keeps a man humble his whole career!

:guffaw:
Well, I definately don't see McCoy any more. Hopefully, I won't be seeing this every time Urban comes on screen during the movie, I don't think I could handle it!

Wasn't it McCoy who once wished he could appear on an alien world someday and say, "Behold, I'm the Archangel Gabriel!"?

That is indeed amusing. :-D But I thought McCoy's middle name was Edward...what does the 'H' stand for (or should I ask)???

I've never know what the "H" stood for, but in "The Search for Spock", as they were about the remove Spock's katra from McCoy's mind, he identified himself as "McCoy, Leonard H., son of David".

The first thing that crosses my mind immediately looking at that picture definately is: That's the new McCoy. :D

I THINK it's from the writer's bible from the original series, but the "H" is for Horatio.

Well, I bet Night of the Lepus was not at the top of De Kelly's resume either.

I SAW that! I'd kill to dl that and burn a DVD. really, that film is... just... man, you gotta see it. Early 1970s. giant killer rabbits. No budget at all!

Oh, man, that brings back memories of when I used to watch Hercules and Xena when I was a kid. I loved those shows.

That was an invention of Diane Duane, and continued by other novelists (and William Rotsler's "Star Trek II Biographies").

It was overwritten by canon with the arrival of ST III.

ugh. I can only hope that the entire source of the movie's delay was the realization that casting Karl Urban was a horrible mistake. Movie cancer.
