For you experts on SciFi Channel's Spec. Edition...

They ran each episode twice. I remember that.

I also remember there was an episode where somehow the intro on the first showing got switched with that of another episode. (When the show opened, the first host segment was for a different episode, but the scheduled episode did play.)

When they repeated it later that night, the correct intro was used. (Someone wised up and switched something around by the time of the second showing.)

Now...

WHAT episode did this happen on, and was it during Shatner's or Nimoy's run as host? (I'm pretty sure it was the former, but not entirely sure.)

I recorded these showings in different formats (2 per tape, four per tape, six per tape, different tape lengths and speeds) twice each night...yes...I made very sure I got them.

Problem?

I'm now making DVDs of the tapes, and don't plan on watching every minute of every tape in doing that.

I want to make sure I get the corrected version of that episode, but have NO idea which episode to look out for.

Does anyone remember WHICH episode had that problem with the intro on the first showing?

I know...nearly ten years ago...

(Bright side is that the tapes are in surprisingly good shape, and the transfers are pretty good.)

Anyway, if anyone knows, please help. :p

In my area the Sc-Fi channel ran all three seasons with Shatner, but only ran the first season with Nimoy hosting. I don't remember the 'switcheroo' problem you mnentioned. Sorry.

There's only one SciFi Channel. It's not a regional thing.

Everyone saw the same broadcasts. Nothing was for "your area".

As for your comments on the Shatner and Nimoy runs, the Nimoy run, if I remember correctly, went past the first season, but maybe only about half way thru the whole series.

If you were mentioning Shatner's and Nimoy's runs because of my reference to each episode being run twice, double check my context.

I was talking about the fact that each episode was aired twice on the same night. One maybe around 7PM, the other maybe at 11PM (both times eastern).

I'm fairly sure it during Shatner's run that the mix up happened, and again, people in your area would have seen it since the whole country saw the same thing. (Unless SciFi West existed back then and you got that...in that case maybe they fixed it on both runs for that feed.)
