...what song would you use if you were making a montage/tribute of the film? I'm thinking about doing one and posting it on YouTube. Personally, I tend to think the film is quite epic, and was thinking something along those lines, but please say whatever you think is best.

Do you want it to be a classical piece or should it be a rock/pop song? I think Goldsmith's main theme for ST-FC is really moving; so this may fit. Or Chattaway's "The Inner Light" flute motif (but this is already used to death, IMHO). Or to sound more modern you could certainly use Nine Inch Nails' "Every Day Is Exactly The Same" (from "With Teeth") or Placebo's "Song To Say Goodbye" (from "Meds") as these are powerful, up-tempo songs with quite an emotional impact. So, it really depends on what you are going for ...

And BTW, I like these music videos!

I don't like the movie much outside of the E-b sequence, but if you're looking for the movie's heart, it would probably be there in the song.

Oh the possiblities are endless...how about "It's the End of the World as we Know it"...you could cut to Kirk's face as he's dying on the line "I feel fine..." you also have the good Enterprise crash to use, and the big missile on the silo all fit the end of the world theme...yeah that gets my vote

First - thanks to everyone who responded. I very much appreciate it. It's great to see any kind of positive turn-out for 'Generations'!

"Who Wants to Live Forever" is a perfect suggestion trevanian and would be my top choice right now. It would probably be wise to wait for more suggestions, but I'll certainly let you guys know when I start the actual work on it and when it's uploaded.
